Cole or a diamond?

Look Ma... no tubes!!! Today has brought a couple great changes for Cole. He had the cpap assistance removed which is great! Some future oxygen assistance may still be needed, but at this point it is wonderful to see him breathing on his own. They also took the annoying tube out of his mouth and put a new one in which is through his nose to his belly and they are now using it to feed him pumped breast milk from his Momma.
There is an old myth that you can change coal into diamonds. The process requires time, pressure, and temperature. Well if you ask me you don't get much more pressure as in infant than laying in the NICU so we'll say CHECK to that one. Time... 7-10+ days sure seems like enough time to me, so CHECK. Temperature... hmmm he has one which is down to almost normal, so CHECK again.
The way I see it, we came here with Cole and plan on leaving with a precious gem!
