Family, Fun, and Food

Grandma and Grandpa made it in today from Arizona. They were very excited to see Cole and even more excited to find out how good he is doing. He is still off all the tubes and oxygen and has been doing great. All he has left is the tube through his nose to his stomach for feeding. He is currently receiving about 2/3 of an ounce of Mommas breast milk every 3 hours. Even better, the are planning to have Becky try breast feeding him tomorrow which will be awesome for both of them. They also just brought him in an actual crib instead of the "box" as I would call it. While we were out tonight I also grabbed a few things for Cole to help him feel more at home.

Before we went to dinner we stopped by Scheels to pick up some floaties for Max to play with in the swimming pool at the hotel. He loves this kiddie pool. Especially the water slide. This morning, when I was swimming with him, Max kept trying to climb up the water slide only to slip and slide right back down. It was amazing to see his little mind work as he turned around, braced himself with his arms, and proceeded to climb up backwards making it all the way to the top. His little mind determined there had to be a better way, and that his center of gravity changed its relationship to his feet reducing the likely hood of slipping. 2 1/2 years old and the kid already shows flashes of the thinking mind of his Great Grandpa Roy.

We went to dinner tonight at HuHot Mongolian Grill. It was Momma(also refered to as Wife at times), Max, Nana(Becky's Mom), Her brother Nathan, Gma & Gpa(my parents), and Myself. It has been so wonderful having Nana and Nathan here all week. Especially when Becky had to stay in OC. Nana is an amazing care giver for her loved ones. She has juggled us all so wonderfully this week and we will miss her when she leaves on Monday. Not just because she takes care of us but you know what I mean, and if you don't... you should... so get with it.

It's truly amazing how blessed we are. How we can have such amazing friends and family supporting us and have such a great day filled with fun and family even under the circumstances. In Philippians 1:2 Paul starts his letter with Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. The past couple days I have felt like Paul wrote this personally to me and dropped it on my doorstep. It is an amazing feeling to experience that exact thing, to experience The Peace of God through Jesus Christ as if it is a part of you. I don't know that I have ever felt so engaged in that peace in such a tangible way. Clearly the Lord is in control and I just want to praise and thank Him that He is and that He is with us always especially under circumstances like this.  To God be the Glory!!!! great things he hath done.... come on you know you want to sing it... so loved he the world that he gave us his Son. Sing on and have great night!!!
